Job Summary:

We are looking for dedicated and experienced Program Managers to lead our project activities in Uttarakhand and other states. The Program Managers will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of our programs, managing the team of employees, and ensuring the effective operation of office work. The ideal candidates must have experience in working with office environment, familiarity with State and Central Govt. Schemes and programs, and a passion for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Leadership: Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the project activities, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and objectives.

Team Management: Organize, manage and mentor field teams, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.

Field Visits: Ready to move out of station as per need of the project to provide support in implementation, monitor progress and ensure the quality and effectiveness of project activities.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, and partner organizations.

Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports on program activities, outcomes, and challenges, and maintain accurate documentation of all project-related activities. Experience of preparing project proposals will be an added advantage

It is a colloquial term from the original Sanskrit word Shamaneedresh (Shaman = Entertainment, Edresh = Attributed), meaning those workers in the royal court entertaining the King. The then king appointed these people to offer music services at the Samadhi place, thus they were called Samaadhi which later became Shamedi meaning the Samadhi Temple musicians. Shamedis offer their services using musical instruments such as Sanai, Choughada, Mridanga, Bheri and Veena during the dawn and night worship at Nirmal Jagadguru Shankaracharya Samadhi Mandir, Shri Sureshwar (Suleshwar) Mandir and the Bhavani Shankara Mandir (Agassi). Their deity is Nirmaleshwar, located on the Nirmal Hillock of Vasai.
