Required Qualifications & Experience

• M.Tech in Environmental Engineering/Public Health Engineering with at least 1 year of experience.

• B.Tech (Civil) or Master’s in Environmental Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in Waste Management/Public Health Engineering. • Experience in preparation of DPRs in waste management

• Knowledge of Schedule of rates (SOR) (State/Centre)

• Experience of preparation of BOQs

• Experience in planning and implementation of urban solid waste management projects.

• Hands-on experience with management of waste collection & transportation (C&T), MSW processing (composting, recycling), and final disposal of inert residue.

• Familiarity with Indian environmental laws, especially those related to NGT guidelines and MSW management Rules 2016 and CPHEEO Manuals.

• Experience working with state governments and ULBs (Urban Local Bodies).

• Experience with multilateral-supported projects at the ULB level.

• Proficiency in use of Computers conversant with latest softwares

• Strong interpersonal & communication skills in English and local language.

Roles & Responsibilities Key

• Support the RCUES Lucknow in the formulation and implementation of water supply, sewerage, drainage, and solid waste management projects.

• Assist in pre-construction, construction, and post-construction activities of sewerage, water supply, drainage, and solid waste projects

• Provide technical advice during the tendering process of projects.

• Review the Detailed Project Report (DPR) and provide suggestions for improvement.

• Provide handholding support to ULB officials in project formulation and implementation

• Facilitate reforms related to the levy of reasonable user charges and bylaws for the reuse of recycled water.

• Monitor project progress and ensure timely reporting to the project lead.

• Assist in developing knowledge products, toolkits, and communication materials for stakeholders.

• Organize capacity-building programmes for ULB officials and document the learning’s.

• Any other task as assigned by the Centre.

Remuneration will be based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
