PADASALAI (Centre for Skills-Development and Training), is a registered not-for-profit TRUST working across India since 2017, focusing on alleviating poverty and social injustice. We do this through well-planned and comprehensive education, health, and environmental projects. PADASALAI focuses on the empowerment of women, girls, and youth through skills training because they are disproportionately affected by poverty and discrimination; and suffer abuse and violations in the realization of their rights, entitlements, and access and control over resources. Also, experience shows that, when equipped with the proper skills, women and youth have the power to help whole families and entire communities overcome poverty, marginalization, and social injustice. PADASALAI empowers underprivileged children, youth, women, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities (PwDs) through relevant skill education.

Community Mobilizer (Chennai, Tamil Nadu)

Job responsibility:

Community Mobilizer is tasked with spreading awareness and information about the various

initiatives and programs being run by PADASALAI in communities assigned to him/her. While ensuring the above community engagement, he/she also closely aligns mobilization efforts to identify and reach out to interested youth (18-25 years), counsel, and motivate them to enroll in skill development courses as per their interest. They are reporting to the Centre Manager—report and Data collection from Communities.

Qualification:

+12 pass with experience in a similar role

Experience:

Experience working in Social development projects in similar job roles.

Digitally sound/able to work in MIS tools

Local person preferable (from the same area)

Salary: 15000/- to 17000/- per month
