Access Livelihoods (AL) is seeking a Manager - Business Development & Partnerships to drive resource mobilization and strategic alliances across its programs. This role is crucial for achieving AL’s annual resource generation targets and expanding its network of supporters and collaborators in the development sector.

This position is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and managing funding opportunities and strategic partnerships to support AL's mission of creating sustainable livelihoods for marginalized communities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development (BD) & Proposal Management:

  • Scouting & Allocation: Proactively scout for grant opportunities, CSR funds, and large donor interests aligned with organizational goals and the $\text{?}30$ crore annual BD target.
  • Proposal Writing & Editing: Lead the writing, editing, and timely submission of high-quality, persuasive program proposals and concept notes.
  • Budget Alignment: Collaborate closely with program and finance teams to draft accurate and compelling budgets for proposed programs, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
  • Follow-ups: Systematically manage all BD follow-up activities, including calls, meetings, and detailed correspondence with potential funders.

2. Strategic Partnerships:

  • Partner Identification: Identify and develop partnerships with various grant providers, CSR/individual donors, and livelihoods-focused organizations to maximize funding and collaboration opportunities.
  • Relationship Management: Foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners to develop long-term collaborations that align with AL’s objectives.
  • General Partnerships: Drive and manage the target of 100 partnerships, including outreach, engagement strategy, and allocation of resources.
  • Partner Reporting: Lead the preparation and submission of annual, quarterly, and monthly reports to funders and partners, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and showcasing impact.
  • Update Calls: Coordinate and lead monthly update calls with key funders and partners to ensure transparency, address any issues, and maintain strong relationship management.

3. Reporting, Documentation & Organizational Memory:

  • Reporting: Support the preparation of compelling presentations and case studies to showcase program success and impact to partners and potential donors.
  • Archive Management: Contribute to creating and maintaining a centralized database of all projects and documentation, essential for organizational memory and future BD efforts.
  • PRC Policy Support: Assist in developing and updating the PRC Policy, particularly the editorial and SOP for proposals.

?? What You Must Have

  • Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Management, Rural Development, Social Work, or a related domain.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of progressive experience in project management, resource mobilization, and proposal writing, preferably in the development sector.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of rural development, entrepreneurship, livelihoods, and the dynamics of the social sector in India.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Good organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple BD opportunities and meet deadlines.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and budget preparation.
  • Target-oriented and self-motivated with strong community engagement skills.
  • Ability to travel within the allotted region/project areas as required (potentially up to 10 days per month).
