Job Description

1. Mapping and selection of potential private hospitals for PPTCT scale up
2. Conducting sensitization workshops, meetings and trainings for the health care providers
3. Providing technical assistance to private hospital sites in establishing ICTC-PPTCT program
4. Provision of on-site mentoring to the counselors and lab technicians of private maternity homes
5. Ensuring uninterrupted supply of HIV testing kits and other consumables.
6. Organizing sensitization programs for professionals associations like FOGSI, IAP, IMA etc.,
7. Ensuring provision of quality PPTCT services to the pregnant women and their infants.
8. Establishing formal referral system with other HIV/ AIDS service providers, other private health facilities for saturation of positive pregnant women with PPTCT services.

Eligibility Criteria

- The ideal candidate must be a post graduate in social work / social sciences/ management with an experience of at least 2-3 years in HIV/AIDS counseling, prevention, care, support, treatment services and mentoring.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Gujarati
• Proficient in use of computers and internet applications
• Counselling and mentorship skills
• Analytical and documentation skills
• Willing to travel extensively (15-20 days in a month)
• Ability to work with large network of health care facilities from the government, private and non-governmental sectors
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and meeting timelines
• Accepts and ensures rigor in program implementation

    - SAATHII, for its Global Fund supported project, will be providing technical assistance to Public Private Partnership (PPP) program to scale up Integrated Counselling and Testing centres (ICTC)/ Prevention of Parent To Child Transmission (PPTCT) services in private health sector in selected districts of Gujarat.
