REASON FOR THE HIRE

The grant portfolio with APPI is continuously growing and hence APPI created the role of “ManagerTechnology and Systems” to ease the process. The incumbent would ensure the working and maintenance of their IT systems. S/he would be responsible for educating the partners and the internal team on the portal and make sure they are able to access it easily.

STRUCTURE AND ROLE DETAILS

Reports to Chief Financial Officer

Location: Bangalore, with regular travel to project locations

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Help in supervising, innovating workflows, and increasing usage/usability of a state of the art cloud based Grant management System (Fluxx) accessible to all 24/7.

Tweak workflows in the grant management system as per changing requirements and implement the changes with specific focus on features and scalability. 

Educate organization employees, partners (grantees) on the portal and make sure they are able to use it easily.

Ensure the correct running and maintenance of the IT systems.

IT Administration

Support Manager-IT to procurement, installation, monitoring and maintenance of the computer systems and networks of APPI offices.

Support Manager-IT to procurement, installation, monitoring and maintenance of the financial and administration systems. This also includes creating synergies between IT and various departments at APPI like Finance, Admin, etc.

Support Manager-IT to Test and evaluate new technology as required for internal APPI needs. 

Responsible for line management, mentoring, growth and encouraging learning for Manager-IT.

Internal and External Technology Consultant

To the Programme, Impact, Finance and Admin team for ensuring quality check in all contracts of APPI which have a technology component.

To the Programme team to evaluate feasibility and architecture of technology related plans in Grant Applications (MIS, Website, etc). 

Provide guidance and support to APPI grantees to implement MIS for their mission.

Eligibility Criteria

At least 10 years of experience in technology. At least 3 years of experience in working with a non-profit/development sector organization at any level . PREFERABLE Experience of working in the not-for-profit or development sector, having demonstrated commitment to the sector.
