While the candidate will work closely with the Policy and Advocacy Lead, she/he will also work with the Principal Economist, Research Fellows and Women Collectives team to understand the research, evidence and results to moderate engagement with the government and design outputs accordingly. The role also warrants frequent interaction with stakeholders in the policy domain (government/non-government), to communicate findings from the studies and also to garner their views on the progress, in order to be able to tailor the program to suit current needs, this would be done in collaboration with the communications coordinator. The Policy Research coordinator should also be familiar with interpreting data in order to break down the results and write about them in a manner that is comprehensible to the relevant stakeholders – including policy, government, and development stakeholders such as think tanks, financial institutions, technology firms, women’s collectives/groups.
