ROLE

? Vasudha Foundation is currently seeking applications for the post of Power / Energy Sector Specialist. The work entails research and analysis on policies and regulatory issues in the power and associated fuel sectors, energy analysis and producing comprehensive research reports and outlook for the power sector.

? This is a mid-level position and the ideal candidate should have the ability to lead a team and therefore requires good inter-personal skills and help in building analytical and technical writing capacities and skills of junior team members

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

? The work entails research and analysis on policies and regulatory issues in the power and associated fuel sectors, energy analysis and producing comprehensive research reports and outlook for the power sector.

? Have knowledge regarding the public data sources available on the power sector, along with an understanding of how to put disparate data together for the purpose of a holistic analysis of the power sector in India.

? Thorough understanding of the various issues related to the power sector, that includes and not limit to, Generation, transmission, distribution, Load management, market trends, price trends, investment trends, and policies and programmes of the national and state Governments in the power sector space

? Strong numerical, analytical and strategic thinking skills in the power sector and energy domain and the ability to assess technical information to synthesize key strategic insights

? Engage with policy-makers to help identify the critical problems in the sector and offer solutions for these problems

? Ability to handle large databases and be able to utilise analytical platforms such as Stata, SPSS, etc.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Bachelors / Master’s Degree in Engineering and Economics. 2. Sustainability/Energy or Power sector related degree will be an advantage. 3. Minimum 5-7 years’ experience of working on policy analysis or management within the power sector.

Desired Candidate Profile

Graduation - B.Tech/B.E

1. Experience of working with the Indian government or key policy makers.

2.  Experience of managing a diverse and highly qualified team.

3.  Excellent communication in English both written and oral.
