Job Description

This position will be the key contact point at CHD and ensure 24x7 days manning of CHD on a shift basis. This position will ensure documentation/ maintaining records of every child who accesses Child Help desk and update the data in the computer. He/ she will ensure immediate needs of children such as food/ medical care and ensure all necessary documentation of the children is in place. He/she act as a central point of coordination and attending calls.

 To manage Child Help Desk (CHD) 24/7 on a rotation basis.

• Maintain and monitor staff movement register and attendance register.

• Responsible to receive children and facilitatie child friendly environment to ease the ambiguity / fear of the child and ensure comfortable stay at Child Help Desk.

• Ensure immediate needs such as food, water & medical care/ attention to the child on the arrival.

• Ensure documentation as per the defined procedures/ maintaining records of every child who accesses Child Help desk and update the data in the computer.

• Develop working relations and liaison with station level authorities and other relevant stakeholders for ease of doing the outreach at station

• Observe all the disciplinary matters/ breach of child protection policy / quality framework and bring it into the notice of Project Coordinator for immediate rectification.

• Report any Child abuse issue, concern or doubt to the concerned person as per the organisational CSP/CPP reporting procedures

• Ensure quality check of the documentation of all the children accessing Child Help Desk.

• Responsible for weekly reporting of the station level CHD activities.

• Any other tasks assigned by the Project Manager.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduate in Social Work/Graduation in any stream, with at least 2 years of experience in working on child protection issues. • Knowledge of child protection issues and legislations would be an added advantage. • Excellent communication skills in Hindi (Both written and Verbal). Functional knowledge of English is preferable. • Computer Savvy and can manage MIS
