Summary

The Education Alliance TEA is a non-profit organisation with a mission to help governments in India provide a quality education to every child, by facilitating effective partnerships between state and non-state actors. Our current focus is on the Government-Partnership Schools G-PS model, wherein government schools engage in whole-school partnerships with rigorously selected non-profits, and the latter take on accountability to deliver measurable quality improvements. Our research suggests that partnership-run schools produce significantly better learning outcomes for students. This is enabled as the model creates a culture of accountability and drives innovative best practices in partnership schools. This is the first attempt at introducing this model in India, and is informed by international best practice.
