REHWA Society is a charitable society organization, founded in 1979, by the erstwhile royal Holkar family of Indore in response to the need to revitalize the weaving community of Maheshwar. REHWA
1. To revive and sustain the ancient tradition of the hand woven and exquisite Maheshwari textile. 2. To improve & empower the lives of the community of weavers, especially women, by giving them training, employment and placing income directly into their hands. 3. To work towards the social welfare of the weavers and their families, for example by providing housing, healthcare and education.
