Summary

Kriti Social Initiatives is a not for profit organization working in the slums in Hyderabad on the twin issues of promoting education for children and empowerment of women through training and livelihoods. Kriti was started in September 2009 and our work is centered around the Film Nagar slums in Hyderabad. Over the years, Kriti has worked on a number of initiatives affecting the lives of the slum dwellers including land rights, self help groups, financial inclusion, and recently we have also taken up a project to rejuvenate a lake at the bottom of Film Nagar slums.
