‘We’ are ‘The Kayantar Collective’, a group of aspiring Development Sector professionals who believe that any issues of the community can be resolved, not by divine intervention, or ‘Force De Majeure’ but by creating an environment that facilitates ‘capacity & capability’ building of the community to mitigate these problems on it own. Kayantar Foundation intends to work in marginalized communities and make those communities capable of living with dignity by building the right set of eco-system for them and enhancing their capability to improve their socio-economic conditions. We seek to create conducive leaving conditions for marginalized communities through an Experiential Development Learning Journey for aspiring development professionals.
We will focus on the themes of livelihood, education and health and will work to improve the infrastructure, accessibility and quality of the three themes in the community. We all understand how livelihood, education and health are interconnected and how the absence of one can impact the quality of life. Hence, we seek work to improve the conditions of the three themes parallel and in an interlinked manner for three years and create community owned systems that can further take our work forward post our transition in the community.
We have been selected for the ISLAB training program. ISLAB is an incubation program in collaboration with Indian School of Business. They provide business knowledge and other support for investments.
