Summary

Ours is a well-established registered charitable trust formed & operating for philanthropic purposes. The main object of the trust at the time of inception was to undertake a Child Vaccination Programme (Child Health Card Scheme) for slum children of Pune. Later with experience gathered from actual fieldwork the trust has done backward integration and covered the expectant mothers and young girls as beneficiaries by starting initiatives for them under the name and style of “Kishori Shakti Project”. The trust has been formed on 20.01.2007. The trust has been registered as a public charitable trust under the Bombay Public Charitable Trust Act, 1950. The registration no. of the trust is E-4826 (Pune) dated 07.04.2007. The registration no. of the FCRA Account of the trust is 083930582. Further, the trust has been approved for the purposes of Section 80G of the Incometax Act, 1961 vide letter no. Pn./CIT-1/12A (a)/80G/173/2007-08 dated 23.11.2007 received from the Commissioner of Income-tax

Child Health Card Scheme : Objective of the Project: 1. To join hands to the govt. organizations to reduce the rate of child death. 2. To increase the number of children getting proper vaccination and parental care 3. To reduce the mortality rate among the new-born 4. To help the children from urban slum to survive from the deadly diseases in the early stages of life 5. To help the children to build healthier lives, free of threats of deadly diseases 3. For the parents from urban slums, medical attention is a distant dream. These unskilled workers and their families are not aware of the need of healthy life for their children and themselves. They have to follow the hectic schedule to fulfil their daily needs and hence most of the time they couldn’t pay attention to the need of their children for healthy and safe life. Children living in slums do not have access to even basic medical facilities. Vaccination is the right of every child for healthy life hence to provide @ their doorstep
