Summary

The main objective of the program is social and economic development in the city, by enabling agency and sustainable livelihood for individuals and communities, at scale. The Lighthouse is a sustainable livelihood program for disadvantaged, urban youth. The program design is centred on creating an inclusive and emotionally safe space for disadvantaged youth, in a physical and virtual form. The Lighthouse stands for hope, strength & security and acts as a beacon to guide the youth towards their full potential. Working Model The Lighthouse program operates with Collective Action by building an ecosystem of various stakeholders comprising - the government, corporates, NGOs and other implementing partners contributing meaningfully to the purpose of the initiative. It is a Public Private Partnership Model, with the Capital Expenditure being covered by the Municipal Corporation and the Operational Expenditure secured with the support from donor partners.

Causes Working On

Lighthouse Communities Foundation works on 3 main areas- 1. The Lighthouse Program is a sustainable livelihood program for the disadvantaged youth in the communities. 2. The Digital Empowerment program works towards the goal of Digital India by focusing on digital literacy for the young citizens of marginalised communities. 3. The Quality Education program in Pune works with the Marathi medium Government schools to provide them with better and quality education and infrastructure.
