Summary

Mongia Green Foundation, incorporated in the year 2013 by Mongia Steel Limited, one of the largest companies in the iron and steel industries in Jharkhand and Bihar. The Foundation is dedicated to championing and advocating social upliftment of tribal communities and underpriviledged sections of our society across the country in the areas of health, education, livelihood development, as well as socio-economic and socio-psychological development. The Foundation has launched a unique supplementary nutrition project called Santushti in Giridih, Jharkhand. The aim of Santushti is to provide a simple daily meal to the school going children in the age group of 6-14 to supplement the nutrition they get from the Mid-Day Meal and home food. The simple daily meal will provide protein and other essential nutrients to the children from the economically disadvantaged sections of the society in order to help them tackle the many problem arising from malnutrition.
