Summary

Started in 2016, Navgurukul runs one-year residential course for students from underserved and diverse communities. Students after pursuing our course are awarded Certificate in Software Programming. The certificate is issued by DGT, Government of India. Recently, We have initiated an android application Meraki focused on making programming and digital skills accessible to the girls from different communities, through a smartphone, and working to create direct jobs . About Meraki - Meraki is an android based job-readiness application making programming and digital skills accessible to learners from different communities. We are working to support youth with a specific focus on young women and girls towards: - Direct job opportunities for entry-level jobs like data entry, customer support, etc. - Admissions to aspirational training opportunities in Software Programming with a guaranteed job outcome

Causes Working On

NavGurukul is setting up model residential learning spaces and building an online platform enabling students’ access to meaningful and vernacular higher education with no upfront fees. Higher education provided is such that it enables the student - to enter mainstream dialogue - to find identity, meaning, and purpose in life through connections to the community, to the natural world, and to humanitarian values such as compassion and peace
