Summary

he Centers for International Projects Trust (CIPT), a research and development organization, established by Columbia Water Center, Columbia University, seeks to design and implement water solutions in some of the country's most challenging settings. In collaboration with government agencies, civil society and private sector partners, CIPT is developing new models and research paradigms for effective water and energy management along with food security and climate resilience in various States of India. CIPT aims to provide rigorous, research-based knowledge as the foundation for its various field-based initiatives involving the local communities, government, non-government and private partners and pursues a holistic approach to water sustainability assessment, sustainable agriculture and farmers livelihood and ecological systems management.
