Summary

Tagore Society for Rural Development (TSRD) is one of the oldest and largest civil society organization in the eastern India engaged in rural development since 1969. TSRD was founded by the then Ghandian leader Sri Jayprakash Narayan and freedom fighter Sri Pannalal Dasgupta imbibing the philosophy of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. TSRD is working in more than 1503 villages spread in 35 blocks of two states viz. West Bengal and Jharkhand through its branch offices under the name and style of Rangabelia Project, Sagar Project, Hingalgunj Project, Bolpur Project, Tapan Project, Rajnagar-Khoirasol Project in West Bengal and Patamda Project and Maheshpur Project in Jharkhand.
