Summary

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), founded in 1980, is a public-interest research and advocacy organisation based in New Delhi. It has been influential in shaping policies of Government of India and many state governments, as well as been a global influencer and thought leader in the science of environment, climate change, transportation, industrial and economic growth and governance. CSE has participated proactively in global climate negotiations, and advised several governments on environmental regulations and equitable resources use and just governance. CSE plays a critical role of analysing developments and challenges in the fast-changing sector of renewable energy. Transition to clean and renewable energy is critical to increasing energy access and nurturing sustainable growth, and is the primary solution to mitigate the grave impact of climate change.
