Summary

Umeed is a registered non-profit, founded in 2014, with a vision to holistically promote women's empowerment. With 8 years of experience on the ground working with women directly, Umeed launched FirstLeap program in 2019 to empower women at scale. It does so by providing rigorous training on functional skills, mindset, and exposure to get them job ready that helps them join mainstream workforce. With FirstLeap program, we are addressing SDG’s 1, 3, 5 and 8. In the next 5 years, Umeed aims to support 16000+ women take their first leap to join the workforce and embark on their journey of empowerment.
