Summary

FHI 360 is implementing the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funded - Expanding Efforts to Protect and Improve Public Health Globally (EGHS) project in Africa and Asia. Given the current COVID-19 and Monkeypox situation, reemerging communicable disease, and public health emergencies of international concern (PHEIC), it is prudent to maintain a continuum of mitigation plans to deal with other public health threats in the country. Hence, in collaboration with CDC-India, the EGHS India project has extended support to the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM)) and other key stakeholders to strengthen public health emergency and disaster management (PHEDM) capabilities including risk communication and community engagement (RCCE).
