Summary

With the current situation in rural areas & the plight of the farmer coupled with the prediction of livelihoods worsening in the coming decades (see attached), it is a no-brainer that the status quo will not work & change has to happen soon. Our uniqueness is that we, at MAATI-PAANI-ASHA (MPA) aim at improving the lives of farmers holistically using a four-pronged approach - Regenerative Agriculture, Food Systems thinking, Education & Wellbeing. We at MPA believe that the Youth can take up the torch of development of the rural surroundings & the farmer households & therefore the whole village. One way of achieving this goal is by making Demonstration Nutrition Gardens in their homes, in local schools and a Model Farm near the MPA center. Together we can model that the nutrient rich & poison-free food will nourish people the way food is supposed to function organically. This way we can move towards our goal of making the food on our tables be accompanied with justice, pride and purity.
