Summary

Sparsh Social Foundation (SSF) works with rural communities to promote and support sustainable livelihood projects for tribal communities mainly focusing on women, small and marginal farmers and youth. The paradigm is designed to extend strategic support to the tribal families and open up different sustainable livelihood opportunities for them within their local resources. The program till date has enabled 3,20,000 people to earn a livelihood through the formation of 33 Producer Groups (PG), 7 FPOs and 88 Farmer Clubs (FC). Till now 539 Self Help Groups (SHGs) have been formed in Rayagada, Odisha where the total savings generated by the SHGs is Rs 2.66 crore and Rs 7.72 crore is the total bank loan linked with the SHGs. The project has also provided social security coverage for the SHGs member up to Rs.173.88 crore, where the total insured member is 4322.
