Summary

For the betterment of the Karigar community, to uplift their standard of living, to give a better education to their children, First Step Foundation is founded by IBJA. At present, there are nearly one crore karigars/ craftsmen attached to our industry. Apart from this, there are nearly 10 lac Jewellery and Bullion shops in the country. There are nearly 1 lac manufacturing units and refineries spread across India. All this brings the total work force to nearly 2 crores.
