Research Associate, People for Himalayan Development About the Organsiation: People for Himalayan Development, based in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh is an outcome of a collective of various organizations working at the grassroots, defending local livelihoods, environment, social equity and ecology. The organisation aims to promote and advocate for a Sustainable Developmental Model for the Himalayan Region that upholds justice, environment-oriented and self-sustaining as its values. We work on the thematic areas of livelihoods, land, alternative models of energy, waste, heritage and culture, and governance.
