Summary

To ensure young children (ideal enrollment age: 4 years old) have access to three years of early education and to provide a structured environment for education and peer interaction. To inculcate the concept of savings among the Musahar girls at a young age, we initiated a savings program across the centers. It was a small step to see whether parents will support the girls in the savings program. 9000 women have been a part of the Self – help groups facilitated and formed by Nari Gunjan in Patna and Saran Districts of Bihar. We believe in the mobilization of women through these self-help groups. Since 2002, 932 young girls and women have benefited from our various vocational training centers that run different programs. We have experimented with multiple hobby classes and vocational training centers.
