Summary

Established in 1986, Very Special Arts India is a not for profit organization working with the differently abled and economically marginalized children youth in India. Since its inception, VSAI has worked to empower children, youth and women, belonging to these groups, through a combination of social, educational and vocational rehabilitation services. Our overriding goal is to nurture the inherent abilities and talents of the differently abled population, provide them with a platform to develop a skill, build self-esteem, and facilitate their smooth integration into mainstream society. To that end, we have effectively used dance, drama, music, visual arts and crafts as remedial therapies. We promote vocational training to enable the group to become self-reliant. In recent years, we have successfully offered computer education to help bridge the digital divide
