Adharshila (Adhar: foundation, shila: stone) is a young NGO, based in Kalkaji, Tigri, and Harkesh Nagar Okhla, Tughlaqabad in New Delhi and Gwal Pahari in Gurugram , India whose mission is to build foundations at the grassroots level with dedication and sincerity. Adharshila’s founders, Ms. Neena Jolly and Ms. Geeta Arora started the NGO in October 2004 with the aim of ensuring sustainable slum development. The NGO works for the upliftment of the underprivileged section of society by striving to empower and enable them, especially women, through our skill development certificate programs, education programs, and women's healthcare clinics. Adharshila’s strength lies in building partnerships with fellow NGO’s, Corporates, Government Organizations, Civil Society and National and Inter-national Organizations. It is registered under the Indian Trust Act 1882 with special tax exemptions under section 80 G of the Income Tax Act 1961 and under Foreign Currency Registration Act.
