Summary

Founded in 2005 after the Asian Tsunami of 2004, Vanavil Trust began its journey to support the children of Boom Boom Mattukarars and Narikuravars in Tamil Nadu. Over 18 years, it has evolved into an organization with multiple projects focused on child protection, health, nutrition, and holistic education. With initiatives like Vanavil Children’s Home, Nursery & Primary School, and After School Centres, the trust provides a safe haven and quality education to nomadic tribal children. The Nomads Higher Education Project supports these children in pursuing college education, breaking the cycle of poverty. Empowering women through the Vanavil Livelihood Program, rescuing vulnerable children through the Railway Childline Project, and providing relief during crises further exemplify Vanavil Trust's commitment to creating a better future for the communities it serves.
