Summary

The National Domestic Workers' Movement (NDWM) has been involved with domestic workers, children in domestic work and migrant domestic workers for the past 27 years, with Tamil Nadu being one of the States where the movement has a marked presence. We make all possible efforts to legitimize both domestic work and the domestic worker at all quarters ? state, national as well as international. Our vision is to generate strong public awareness in order to enable domestic workers to achieve healthy recognition in society, support every domestic worker in achieving his/her rights and a life of dignity and to enjoy justice by encouraging participation and transferring leadership into their hands.
