Summary

What one wants is what one gets. In the context of an ever changing society, the current education system truly needs a ‘Reality check’. It has been widely observed that when a community as a whole, over a period of time, arrives at a certain assumption about the need for schooling and the nature of learning, the practices and systems that evolve will be a manifestation of those assumptions. More And so since the big opportunity may be right where we are now, the hope and the need of the hour is to revisit the very assumption of what a school means or does to a society and the nature of processes that goes into making a school.
