Bharatiya Jain Sanghatana (BJS) is a non-profit social impact organization in the forefront of addressing national concerns in disaster response, water conservation, health and social development. It has been a lead player in relief and rehabilitation efforts during all major disasters in India and its neighbourhood since 1993. With its ability to mobilize volunteers across the country, BJS has created sensitized task forces to undertake relief and rehabilitation work. It has also recognized the need for educational rehabilitation of disaster-affected children by providing them residential education. To mitigate devastating long-term effects of drought on communities, BJS has implemented large-scale drought mitigation programs, rejuvenating more than 13,000 large waterbodies and creating massive water storage capacities.
