Summary

Over the period of last few years of project implementation a lot of investment has been made in the area promoting flood prone agricultural practices, developing alternative livelihood sources and creating community institutions and building the capacity of the communities to mitigate the risk associated with disasters particularly flood. Our interventions primarily facilitate the process of strengthening these village based institutions and establishing linkage with inline government departments for its sustainability. Abhigyan Disha with support from various donor agencies is working towards helping children of primary school in achieving acceptable competency level (3R’s) in school with motivating teachers for it. We are also working towards achieving our objective of addressing issues of in-school processes, teaching learning processes and intend to impact on the overall learning environment where in children demonstrate measurable improvements in learning.
