Summary

Our organization ATPAR (Alliance to Promote Abilities and Rehabilitation LLP) is inspired by the spirit and motivation to transform traditional mindsets and dispel the myths on disability and discover the abilities of Persons with Disabilities to become economically empowered and be seen as contributors “at par” to the National wealth. ATPAR has imparted basic business knowledge and mentoring support to more than 350 Persons with Disabilities who are entrepreneurs or wish to start their own enterprises. The intense immersive sessions with practical experience in the NSIC Incubation Centre has motivated more than 50 candidates to start new business soon after training and about seventy percent have enhanced their incomes by applying their learnt knowledge. This experience though very inspiring for all, there still exists many challenges in the ecosystem which is not inclusive and has not allowed their business to grow and scale.
