Job Description

CIPT seeks the above professional to:  work on programs conducted by CIPT. The Center focuses on addressing global water scarcity through interdisciplinary approaches working with public-private partnerships and local farmer communities. Specifically, the goal is to address water conversation, promotion of intelligent technologies and  through an investigation of the links between climate variability/change, agricultural practices/food security, energy production and use, and water/energy/food policies. 

Risk analysis and program management and technical innovation in the public and private contexts are an integral part of the approach being taken. These require both strong management skills and analytical capabilities. 

CIPT’s field projects provide opportunities for practical accomplishments in addition to the scale ups of the water conservation tools for addressing local and global water scarcity. 

 

About the Position. The incumbent will report to the Director, CIPT and work closely with CIPT personnel and collaborators to develop and manage ongoing research and development

programs within the Center. The incumbent will also work with other team members and represent CIPT professionally and conscientiously. The candidate will act as a focal point for relations with the donors and other implementing collaborators and support the regional team in program planning and implementation. Communication with other team members, organizing and facilitating meetings, and tracking the project schedule. The incumbent will lead all aspects of program management and implementation as well as take the initiative in scoping out new projects. 

 

Job requirements

We seek a candidate with strong analytical and program management-related experience and skills. The successful candidate will have a master's degree in economics, environment and natural resource management, public policy and sustainable development or a closely related field and a minimum of two to three years of experience in the development sector.

 

Following are the primary job responsibilities:  

  •  Act as first point of contact for all information sharing and enquiry response with donor organizations. 
  • Prepare project cycle activities /plans and ensure implementation of the plans across project locations.
  • Monitoring and tracking project activities and deliverables through regular team follow-up, coordination and communication. Identify gaps in implementation, devise solutions with team to bridge those gaps.
  • Regularly monitor and ensure achievements of program deliverables, support in verifying activities and process completion through office visits and regular interaction with team.
  • Develop high quality communication collaterals like reports, project updates, training brochures, briefing documents etc.
  • Draft correspondences for information sharing with partners, donor.
  • Developing content for promoting organization’s work and visibility on social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Researching and creating content for ToRs, proposals, concept notes, progress reports, technical reports for donors/stakeholders, publications, blogs etc.
  • Liaising with external partners to implement new project components.
  • Building new work collaboration by regular engagement and networking with development partners and academic institutions.
  • Organizing, coordinating and facilitating stakeholder meetings/workshops (virtual & offline) and outreach events.
  • Providing program guidance and technical support to regional team in Punjab.
  • Any other task entrusted by the Director from time to time.

Language Command : Excellent communication skill with high quality English writing and presentation skills are required, and good command of Hindi/Punjabi.

 

The position is full-time, and the initial appointment will be for one year with the possibility of annual renewal based on performance and the availability of funds. The position is based at South Delhi.  

 

Location: New Delhi

 

Salary: CIPT pays a competitive salary commensurate with qualification and experience.
