Job Description

Job Description:

  • Planning, development & management of rural development projects at the community & state levels.
  • Prepare livelihood plans for SHGs, FPOs, Youth Groups, etc. as per the possibilities and local potential.
  • Provide forward and backward linkage with other development agencies including the government.
  • Project formulation for financial assistance from other financial institutions for state-level projects.
  • Support and manage the team in project components, formulation, implementation and monitoring.
  • Organized training programs for capacity building of the beneficiaries.
  • Prepare Implementation plans for the state and districts for smooth implementation of the Programmes.
  • Prepare documentation of case studies, and updated reports in a timely manner.

Required Skills and Experience


Academic Qualification:

  • An undergraduate degree from a renowned university.
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field is desirable.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 7-12 years of professional experience in implementing development projects.
  • Should have good exposure to concepts of Sustainable Development Goals, Circular and Green economy parameters and have the ability to think and ideate livelihood options within these sectors.
  • Must have knowledge of convergence of programs and have the ability to execute convergence projects
  • Should have knowledge of the use of modern tools in outcome measurements in both qualitative and quantitative  
  • Knowledge and understanding of livelihood promotion projects and experience in working with community institutions, their federations, and producers’ group on livelihood issues.
  • S/he should possess strong skills in analyzing value chains and visualizing viable business plans for the poor to support their livelihoods.
  • Experience in working with NGOs, Agencies, corporations, etc.

Language Requirement:

  • Excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills are required.
  • Working knowledge of the local language is preferred.
  • Operational proficiency in MS Office, Internet etc.

  • About Organization:Sparsh Social Foundation (SSF) works with rural communities to promote and support sustainable livelihood projects for tribal communities mainly focusing on women, small and marginal farmers and youth. The paradigm is designed to extend strategic support to the tribal families and open up different sustainable livelihood opportunities for them within their local resources. The program till date has enabled 3,20,000 people to earn a livelihood through the formation of 33 Producer Groups (PG), 7 FPOs and 88 Farmer Clubs (FC). Till now 539 Self Help Groups (SHGs) have been formed in Rayagada, Odisha where the total savings generated by the SHGs is Rs 2.66 crore and Rs 7.72 crore is the total bank loan linked with the SHGs. The project has also provided social security coverage for the SHGs member up to Rs.173.88 crore, where the total insured member is 4322.
