Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a full-time Male Special Educator to join the Sangharsh team. The role of the Special Educator will range from assessment and teaching of the children/young adults, monitoring and recording the progress of children, to liaising with parents and other professionals/institutions and assisting with outreach activities for placement of young adults for vocational and employment opporturnities.

Requirements

The candidate should have:

A diploma/degree in Special Education from a recognized institution.

Specialisation in Multiple Disabilities (preferred) or Intellectual Disability

RCI Registration

Experience of 1+ years in an institution/community setting


Motivation to perform well, eager to learn, and a team worker are essential attributes.

Computer and Spoken English skills will be an added advantage.

Sangharsh is currently operating in the community of Asalpha Ghatkopar (West), its services will also be extended at Bail Bazaar Kurla in a few months time. We follow a zero rejection policy and take in children with all type of disabilities.The children attending the centre have one or more of the following disabilities: hearing impairment, intellectual impairment, autism, adhd,physical disability, visual impairment, cerebral palsy, behavioural difficulties, or a combination of disabilities.
