Job Description

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to lead our fundraising efforts, identify potential donors, and secure grants to support our impactful programs on the ground- SETU, School WaSH and Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating leads, maintaining relationships with potential donors, and effectively communicating empowHER India's mission to secure funding. This role requires a deep understanding of the fundraising landscape in India, as well as a proven track record of successful fundraising within the non-profit sector.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure grants and donations to support empowHER India's programs.

• Identify and research potential donors, including corporate entities, foundations, and government agencies, that align with empowHER India's mission and objectives.

• Lead lead generation efforts by leveraging networks, conducting research, attending relevant events, and building relationships within the fundraising community.

• Initiate and maintain communication with potential donors, presenting empowHER India's work and impact in a compelling manner.

• Track and manage the progress of conversations with potential donors, ensuring timely and appropriate follow-ups.

• Collaborate with program managers to gather accurate data and information for grant proposals.

• Prepare high-quality grant proposals and applications, aligning with the requirements of potential donors.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of donor interactions, proposals, and grant application statuses.

• Work closely with the senior management team to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals and program priorities.

• Stay updated on industry trends, fundraising best practices, and donor engagement strategies to drive successful outcomes.

• Represent empowHER India at relevant fundraising events, conferences, and meetings.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree is a plus.

• Minimum 5 years of fundraising experience within the non-profit sector, preferably with a mid-size Indian NGO.

• Proven track record of successfully securing grants and donations from various sources.

• In-depth understanding of the fundraising landscape in India, including knowledge of corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, government funding opportunities, and philanthropic foundations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling grant proposals and effectively engage potential donors.

• Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Proficient in using fundraising platforms, databases, and CRM systems.

• Passion for empowHER India's mission and dedication to the empowerment of adolescent girls.
