Job Description

Sky Social is looking to hire the Fundraising Manager to create a pipeline of sustainable source of funds to leverage the mission and goal of the organization. The Fundraising Manager will support the CEO and the Trustees in opening doors to new fundraising avenues.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Fundraising Strategy: Develop comprehensive fundraising strategies and action plans to achieve financial targets for CSR projects. Research and track potential funding sources - corporate, philanthropists, foundations, government to help develop / iterate the fundraising strategy. Liaise government and with existing partner/ donor organisations and ensure regular communications with them.

2. Corporate Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, identifying new opportunities for collaboration and funding.

3. Funding Pipeline :Should already have some database of donors and contacts in the development industry. And create, maintain database about current and prospective donor demographics, identifying new avenues to maintain and diversify funding sources. Identify donor opportunities, respond to donor call for proposals, represent organization at donor meetings and undertake follow-up of potential funding opportunities. Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers at potential funding partner organizations.

4. Donor Engagement: Engage with potential donors and existing supporters to build long-term relationships and secure financial contributions.

5. Proposal Development: Prepare persuasive and compelling funding proposals, grant applications, and sponsorship pitches to attract corporate support.

6. Budget Management: Oversee the budgeting process for funded projects, CSR projects, ensuring financial targets are met, and funds are allocated appropriately.

7. Networking: Represent the organisation at networking events, conferences, and industry gatherings to promote our CSR initiatives and attract potential donors.

8. Reporting: Prepare regular reports and updates on fundraising progress, outcomes, and impact for presentation to senior management and corporate partners.

9.Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical fundraising practices.

10. Innovation: Stay updated on market trends and best practices in partnerships and fundraising and implement innovative strategies to enhance fundraising efforts.

Donor Engagement

- Provide guidance to and coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders to develop proposals & activity plans including budgets and cash flows.

- Create and execute donor engagement plans to cultivate long term relationships with current and new donors.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 to 5 years of fund-raising experience for the development sector, exposure to the non-profit sector will be an added advantage.

- Have demonstrated strategic thinking in the current or previous organization. They should be an effective communicator, relationship builder and a strong leader.

- Must have strong analytic, strategic planning, business development and technology skills.

- They must be a strategic thinker, strong analytical skills, stakeholder management.
