SAHA is operating multiple projects of different Donor, CSRs, Govt. Departments .
Location: Bhubaneswar, Odisha
Salary: INR 25,000/- to 30,000/- (negotiable) and commensurate with qualification & Experience
SAKHA is seeking a dedicated Accounts Officer to coordinate accounting duties across our various projects . As a key member of our team, The Accounts Officer will ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of financial operations of SAKHA,
Major Responsibilities:
• Revenue Recognition: Monitor contracts and service agreements for correct pricing/information and document under the correct revenue recognition guidelines.
• Maintain all the financial records of the organization and deal with all the financial transactions of all the projects operated in the organization.
• Invoicing: Generate client invoices, verify discrepancies, and resolve billing issues.
• Financial Tracking: Maintain financial year revenue trackers and related monthly financial schedules.
• Accounts Management: Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts receivable and assigned Receipts & payments Account ,Income & Expenditure Account & balance sheet along with utilization certificates to the Donors
• Financial Projections: Prepare monthly expenditure statement and cash flow statements as per the project requirements.
• Closing Processes: Support month-end and year-end close processes, as well as the annual audit.
• Internal Controls: Develop and document the processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Procedure Improvement: Liaise with Senior Managers to enhance financial procedures.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
• Ensure Tally entry in ERP-9 and update the books of accounts on daily basis
Qualifications:
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in commerce, accounting, finance, or a related field. With Knowledge /practice in Tally ERP-9
• Experience: Proven experience as an accountant for 2-3 years in NGO/CBO
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of GAAP, basic accounting principles, and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Software Proficiency: Knowledge of accounting software platforms such as TALLY ERP-9.
• Team Collaboration: Excellent team member with the ability to work with the various teams.
