Job Description

The Product Making and Quality Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the

production process and ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards. This

role involves managing a team of artisans in tailoring and jewelry-making, coordinating

production schedules, and ensuring that all products align with the social enterprise’s mission

of empowering women through sustainable livelihood opportunities.

This is an implementation and coordination role.

Key Responsibilities:

? Production Management:

o Oversee production activities in tailoring and jewelry-making to ensure timely

and efficient output.

o Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and

inventory goals.

o Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to optimize

efficiency and minimize waste.

o Ensure that all equipment and tools are maintained in good working condition.


? Quality Control:

o Establish and maintain quality standards for all products, including tailoring

and jewelry items.

o Conduct regular inspections of products during and after production to ensure

they meet quality specifications.

o Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols to minimize defects and

returns.

o Train and guide team members on quality control standards and practices.

? Team Management:

o Lead and manage a team of artisans and production staff, providing guidance

and support to enhance skills and productivity.

o Conduct regular team meetings to review performance, address challenges,

and plan for upcoming projects.

o Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity,

collaboration, and continuous learning.


? Product Development:

o Collaborate with designers and the marketing team to develop new products

that align with market trends and customer preferences.

o Provide feedback on prototypes and samples to ensure feasibility and quality

before production.

o Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in tailoring and jewelry-

making to inform product development.


? Inventory and Supply Chain Management:

o Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to ensure

timely replenishment.

o Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of quality materials.

o Implement inventory control practices to minimize waste and reduce costs.


? Reporting and Documentation:

o Maintain accurate records of production activities, including daily outputs,

quality control reports, and inventory levels.

o Prepare regular reports on production performance, including key metrics such

as efficiency, quality, and costs.

o Assist in budget preparation and cost management for the production

department.

Qualifications:

? Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Technology, Jewelry Design, Production Management,

or a related field.

? Minimum of 2 years of experience in production management, preferably in tailoring

and/or jewelry-making.

? Strong knowledge of quality control processes and best practices.

? Proven leadership and team management skills.

? Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

? Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse

teams.

? Passion for social impact and experience working with marginalized communities is a

plus.

Desired Candidate Profile

Post Graduation - MSW

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Technology, Jewelry Design, Production Management,

or a related field.

? Minimum of 2 years of experience in production management, preferably in tailoring

and/or jewelry-making.

? Strong knowledge of quality control processes and best practices.

? Proven leadership and team management skills.

? Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

? Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse

teams.
